We will not publish next week! C3 asked if we would send out the newsletter on Tuesday starting on March 1st! Mary Ann and Ronda will be delighted.
Ronda's Corner

Welcome to the final "Friday" Corner. The thinking behind the date change is that Friday afternoons are hard to find time to read the newsletter and by Monday it is buried so far down in your inbox that it gets forgotten.

I want to use my corner this week to talk about something that came up at yesterday's C3 meeting - How do you address your interlibrary loan envelopes? Please share this information with whomever sends your ILL's through the BOCES mail.
  • Whenever possible, please put the name of the person to whom you are sending the book.

  • It is VERY important to put the EXACT name of the school it needs to be delivered to ie: CattLV Elementary or CATTLV Intermediate. If the envelope says Catt LV, it is a guessing game. Every school has a separate BOCES bag that all its mail gets sorted into. For clarification, look at the CASLS directory. It is broke down by district first, then by the different schools in that district. Many times, these schools are in completely different parts of the district and sometimes in completely different towns. The Catt LV schools are a good example. CattLV Elementary is in Cattaraugus and CattLV Intermediate is in Little Valley , but they are the same district.

  • A great resource for helping out the ILL process is your CASLS directory. It has the name of the LMS and what the name of their school is and the days they are there, if shared. It will help to ensure that we can give the fastest possible assistance to our students and faculty by eliminating the book going to the wrong place first.
Thank you everything you do to make everyone's day just a little better.
